Currently, there has been an increase in fraudulent contact attempts via email or messenger services (e.g. WhatsApp) throughout the hotel industry, relating to existing or supposed hotel bookings.

In some cases, these messages contain correct booking details and ask guests to make payments, transfer deposits or confirm links. These messages do not originate from the hotels or well-known booking platforms.

Please note:

Hotels and booking platforms only contact guests in exceptional cases and usually not via WhatsApp.
Requests for payments or for entering data via external links should be examined particularly critically.
Typical indications of fraudulent messages include foreign phone numbers (often from England or India, for example), unusual payment requests or increased time pressure.

We advise guests and potential guests not to click on any links, not to make any payments and, if in doubt, to contact the hotel they have booked or the respective booking platform directly via the official contact channels.
